
This is a glimpse of our village in winter. You may be asking "what village?" but it's there. It's difficult to see much besides the large barns and farmhouses. This same picture in summer would be almost entirely green. Straight ahead through the valley is a lake.
It can be a bit dreary in the winter, but yesterday a fresh snowstorm blew in and now several inches of snow are laden on every twig and branch of every tree. It is absolutely gorgeous.But disappointingly, Nakiah didn't get a snow day. Ah, shucks!

This sheet of white is the lake. If you click on the picture you will see tiny black dots scattered amongst it. These dots are people ice fishing. It is really cute to drive by and see them sitting there on a stool with their line dangling in the water.
Glimpses you can't catch in the city.......
